Abstract

This research article highlights the optimization of the performance of higher order feedback systems by employing GA (Genetic Algorithm) based proposed compensator and existing controller / compensator. The results of GA based PID controlled / compensated system are compared with that of GA based proposed compensated system by using reduced order models for few higher order systems. Superiority of GA based compensator structure over GA based PID controller / compensator is validated and illustrated numerically by evaluating the time domain specifications of the higher order systems
