Abstract

In the contemporary scenario, the nature of people's work lies in such a track that they hardly burn their calories gulped. This as a consequence leads to multifarious physical illness. A common one among them is Hypertension or Hypotension, the two variants of abnormal Blood pressure. It would do a great benefit to the public, if there is a device just like a wrist watch, which would aid them in checking their Blood pressure at any time required. This handy device also includes the feature of monitoring the pulse rate. The victims' Blood pressure could be measured at the spot of an accident and the required First aid can be given, if the hospitals or medical centers are located far away. Being a non-invasive method of finding the Blood pressure, this device can be easily operated by any layman. Such a Blood pressure monitoring system also has a memory to remember the past history for future review, so that a time-based statistical analysis can be done. This could also be coupled with a mobile service including some contacts of the doctors nearby, so that under emergency or critical conditions, an automatic emergency alarm is sent to the doctors' contacts.
