Abstract

Energy plays a vital role in our daily lives, powering our homes, businesses, and industries. It is an essential resource that fuels economic growth and improves the quality of life. Energy monitoring is essential for reducing costs, mitigating environmental impact, optimizing operations, and promoting sustainability by tracking and analyzing energy usage patterns [10]. By actively monitoring and managing energy consumption, individuals, businesses, and industries can save money, reduce their environmental footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future. This paper presents a solution for infrastructure energy monitoring using cost effective software and hardware to reduce energy wastage in existing buildings. The paper addresses an IoT based energy monitoring that enables remote monitoring of energy consumption and control in a multi layer car parking building. The cloud application is built using Zoho IoT platform populated with charts and widgets to visualize data, alarm rules to notify abnormalities, and advanced analytics to optimize usage.
