A novel multiband 2 × 2 dual-polarization antenna with couple of meander line structure is proposed for IoT connected devices. The MIMO antenna operates from 1.39 to 6.02 GHz with the gain of 7.35 dB and the return loss of less than −10 dB, within its effective bandwidth at both input ports. The proposed dual polarized antenna has a very high isolation of −27 dB between the input ports. The performance of 2 × 2 MIMO antenna is analyzed with respect to the correlation coefficient, channel capacity loss, diversity gain, mean effective gain and total active reflection co-efficient. For simulation, High Frequency Structure Simulation (HFSS) solver is used and it also calculates the MIMO antenna parameters. The projected antenna shows multiband operation with polarization diversity and high isolation among elements. It also offers a good mixture of coverage and capacity benefits, which is expected to support the future IoT connected devices.
