Data transmission in the form of texts, pictures and videos have become a part of our daily routine and is crucial for communication. Data transmission has become mandatory part of daily routine, no matter if it would be for short or for longer distances. Not only the distance, but the speed of the transmission of data is also important. Various techniques have been discussed and proposed for fast transmission of data. But, the effect of noise or any other unwanted signal during the transmission is impossible to separate practically. Along with the fast transmission, it is necessary that the data is being accurately transmitted, without any noise or corruption. Therefore, the need for data transmission with no errors through communication channels has been increased. In this work, various aspects and different approaches of the encoding and decoding of the Reed Muller technique, one of the most ancient and frequently used error-correction and error-detection techniques are analyzed and pondered. A bullseye-view of the application of this technique has been studied. The methodology for the Python implementation is presented in this paper. Comparison of power-consumption for the Reed Muller encoding using array multipliers and using Booth multiplier has been studied. The implementation of the same is done using Xilinx Vivado and it is observed that switching from array multiplier to Booth multiplier reduces the total on-chip power by 63.04%.
