Abstract
With the increasing number of vehicles on the road, parking has become a major concern. Maintaining the tokens used for parking authentication is also of concern. So, an IoT-based solution is proposed for the current work to streamline the issue of parking and tokens. The IR sensor-based actuation system in the entrance actuates the gate only when there is enough physical space for a vehicle to park. Then, upon entering the gate, the YOLO algorithm is used to detect the vehicle number and identify the user. The user must sign up only for the first time, and the corresponding details match will automatically be loaded. A QR code is generated and communicated to the user via WhatsApp instead of tokens for authentication purposes. While exiting, the vehicle is again scanned to identify the number plate, and the time stops. The amount based on the difference in time is used to calculate the rental fee. The user can pay through a dedicated app wallet or cash. This reduces the time and paves the way for remote business control.
