Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies have emerged as transformative tools with vast potential in various industries, including agriculture. This chapter provides an overview of the current landscape, challenges, and future directions for the adoption of AR/VR in agriculture. It addresses the pressing issues faced by farmers today and demonstrates how AR/VR can facilitate informed decision-making and optimize resource management. This paper also examines the integration of AR/VR tools into existing farming practices, elucidating their role in augmenting traditional tools and methods. It also discusses the AR/VR gadgets necessary for optimizing farm operations and evaluates their impact on productivity and efficiency. It investigates how AR/VR innovations are being utilized in various farm businesses to streamline operations, increase output, and improve crop yields along with the economic, political, and societal implications of AR/VR adoption in agriculture. On the whole, this paper provides an exploration of the diverse applications and implications of AR/VR technologies in agriculture, highlighting their potential to revolutionize farming practices and drive sustainable agricultural development.
