This article presents a new approach to home automation using the You Only Look Once (YOLO) object detection algorithm. Our system integrates YOLO-based human detection modules with environmental sensors to create a smart home automation system. Known for its ability to detect objects in real time, the YOLO algorithm is suitable for detecting and tracking people in the home environment using neural network architecture. Additionally, environmental sensors collect data on parameters such as temperature, humidity and light levels. This information is then processed to decide whether to turn home appliances on or off, increasing energy efficiency and increasing user comfort. Through experimental validation, this paper demonstrates the effectiveness and efficiency of our YOLO-based home automation system and demonstrates its smart home application potential.
