In this paper, an empirical model of the air breathing fuel cell (ABFC) is proposed to investigate the cell voltage verses current density and power density verses current density characteristics. The mathematical model of the ABFC is built in MATLAB/Simulink which consists of Nernst voltage, activation, ohmic and concentration loss modules. The main intention of this work is to develop a simple and more accurate model is to analyze the real time system behavior at various operating states.
