Abstract

Although renewable energy sources fluctuate, integrating biogas with solar and wind in microgrids presents issues. This research provides a desirable control strategy to improve the system’s overall stability and dependability as well as the efficiency of using biogas. The following is a list of the major contributions: (1) To improve system dependability, reduce the amount of the biogas-solar-wind battery islanded microgrid that depends on the master distributed generation and keep the main distributed generation’s state of charge constant.
(2) Recommending the best control plan to divide the charging power among energy storage components in accordance with the power and state of charge of batteries and supercapacitors. Using a fuzzy-tilt-fractional order integral-filtered derivative controller, charging power is distributed among batteries according to power limitations and charge levels. The optimal tuning of controller parameters is achieved using a hybridized spider wasp optimizer and osprey optimization algorithm. The MATLAB platform is used to evaluate the applied technique and compared with other methods. Notably, the proposed controller outperforms others with Integral Absolute Error (IAE): 5910-4 (frequency), 0.99910-3 (voltage); Integral Squared Error (ISE): 8.5910-4
,1.098910-4; overshoot: 1.227%, 1.11%; and settling time: 1.07 s, 1.01 s respectively.
